~*~

There is no time left to undo
it wanes in the silence of indifference
filled by a long distant loneliness
half past Sunday afternoons.

I no longer look beyond my tired eyes
blinded by the winter sunlight
slowing down the passing
belated in my sorrow.

Leaves my mourning stark
in an attempt to find a higher ground
and surround myself with something more
than this.

Where time pauses in place
letting go, let it ride
the winds are drawn to scarlet sighs
against my will, never mine.

This time is harder still
as waves roll back and blue
leaving bruises on my heart
crash against your heart.

Given time will heal
and maybe never.

yessssssssssssssssssss...

I could relate to this Bluesy.

I've spent a lot of time mourning the passing of much that was never mine to begin with...

sorrowful, but lovely

This is just amazing. I felt it, and understood it.

Oh girl this is a melancholy, bittersweet beauty... On a day when we feel like this...all we can do is write it out...and listen to all our old Jackson Browne...this write is a "Late for the Sky" kinda day.

Nature poets can't walk across the backyard without tripping over an epiphany.
