In an upside-down garden

I have no time to analyze your potential.

I've wraped myself
tightly in you
hiding from everything
for everything

Waiting to figure out
if my nervous stomach
my sweaty palms
and this wonderful bundle of nerves
hybernating inside of me
holds any worth.

Make me or break me

because
you said that
I can trust you
that you won't hurt me.

Hope dictates that
you are telling me the truth.

I am lost
and I am
mistaken
and I have been
broken before
and could be again

if you seize what is yours
and realize that
there is truth in the lies
they speak to you
in the cloak of disgrace
that I wear with shame,

you could leave me shattered.

But-

if you want to ignore everything
but the promise you may see
when you look in my eyes

I am okay with that too.

Ah... how real! How simply honest.  That hope mixed with fear.  Takes courage - a lot of courage.  I know this train of thought well.

Allysa, I liked this poem.
It seems to bee from your heart.

Thanks guys.  This is pretty much what is going on inside my brain as we speak.  Guys are confusing, what can I say.  I can't understand what he could see in me.. but oh well.
