When I saw this challenge, I had to grin,,,the music I listen to,,,,most say,,,doesn't really martch the inner me,,,,,oh well. As Ringo can attest, I worship GWAR,,,,for lack of a better description,,,,a death/metal/thrash/Jeff Foxworthy-on-crack band......and, my favorite song ever is..

              Immortal Corruptor

The bass of mighty Beefcake.....strong....deep
waves of sound slash my soul
       eyes closed,,,,traveling
Jizmacks axe..hot, mean riffs..beat against my mind
       seeking purchase........
The Omnipotent voice of Oderous
       GWAR'S God incarnate
            BOW LOW!!!!
Searing my ears...words of damnation
above it all, a chaotic blend
          a bile mixture
  Bass, guitar, drums , voice....
  Heart, mind, body, soul....
           joined as one
Headlong I rush,,,away from mortal bonds
Not looking back....not seeing forward
             suspended
Hanging on each thundering chord
           worshiping afar
Begging to be at the feet of Scumdog Gods
             unworthy
Ripped apart by words of destiny
        Immortal Corruptor
all fates sealed, worms win all
          all hope lost
        returned to flesh
On the firey strings of Balzack
left with the taste of violation
Sweet...with sour vision

I wish all could find the true happiness I have found,,in the eyes of Mike

You mean you don't listen to classics like:
"If my nose was running money honey I'd blow it all on you?"

or

"All the girls that turn me on turn me down?"

or

(Balladeer's favorite)..."At the Gas Station of Love, I got the self service pump"

or

"You broke my heart at Walgreens and I cried all the way to sears"

or

"Did I shave my legs for this?"

or

"Get off the table Mabel, The Two Dollars is for the beer"
or

"I Bought the shoes that just walked out on me"

or

"I changed her oil, she changed my life"

or

"I went back to my fourth wife for the third time and gave her a second chance to make a first class fool out of me"

or
"I wish I were a woman so I could go out with a guy like me"

or

"If I'd killed you when I wanted to I'd be outta jail by now"

or

"My John Deere was breaking your field while your Dear John was breaking my heart."

Can't say that I do Toe,,,,,,But, I do put much heart and passion into my adoration of GWAR, and the genre of music there of,,,,I judge no one for their tastes in music,,,and make no jest at the expense at anothers heartfelt words.

Whoa! Chill out! I don't either, and wasn't in my post?.....I'm not familiar with GWAR...I'm an old, (okay, feel real old), hippie....used to work with the Allman Brother's Band in the very early 70's...I like most all music.....don't like RAP or anything that's not really music...many of today's "music" is either poetry set to a beat, (a loud beat and you can barely understand what they're saying), or many have to dress in bizarre outfits or little or no outfits to attract a following, KISS at least was original, then many others copied in some form or another, but, can remember when my folks hated my music too....Some of the country songs, (like the sillys above do crack me up)...it takes a very strange mind...(like a Toerag's)..to come up with some of the things those writers come up with)...

hey toe,,,,,,check them out www.GWAR.net.....yes they are bizzarein apperance,,,,but, after roughlt 20 odd years of it working,,,I'd say it works, lol. also, if you'd like to hear Immortal Corruptor,,,it is one of their "mellow" songs,,,5 minutes and 34 seconds worth.  you can hear said song, at lunch yahoo music.com.
As I said, I step on no ones love of their favorite music, be it "old hippie" stuff, or the rap, or country,,,,,,,we all adore our favorites,,,,,gotta say one thing tho,,,,at least you were one of the two brave enough to post a reply,,, ,,,,take care,,,,,and, for an "old hippie", you write some aswum stuff.   Michelle
