Can a sound... from vowels written elegantly upon a smooth crisp page bring from me a sigh... My eyes... fail to see the purse of one’s lips, the color of soft cheeks, the slender and delicate poise of fingers.. deftly stroking a keyboard in rhyme. I struggle... as does the tide against the reed, to see the softness of your hair, the intrigue of your eyes, the fragrance that lingers on a small wrist, aching to be kissed.... Your gait... Invites the eyes of many. Your smile stops the urban flow as stares peruse that which only my mind has seen. Yet it is I... who has tasted the bubbly of a sipped toast.. As words fall softly upon a page, tugged over by two....giggling... Until they write again... |
