Twinkle little tidily winks
Twinkle all the day,
Making pastry people
Toys and books and play.

I look for you in summer
Or when the skies are grey,
I look for you in winter's light
And at the start of every day.

And when my heart is leaping
Or good news makes me smile,
Its because of you my tidily winks
You make our lives worthwhile.

Now all I can imagine is a star studded sky with youngsters playing tiddly winks.  How clever!  Welcome to Passions, Richard, and let me thank you now for making mine one of the first poems you responded to.

Enjoy yourself!

Hi Sunshine,
Thanks so much for your kind words, I know how "tidily winks" can come over as being misleading. My grandmother  called me tiddles when I was a baby, and when Richard my nephew and Lisa"[who my late mother and I brought up and he treats me like a father]"  had there first child our Lauren I wrote the poem for her.
take care Richard.

Hi Greeneyes,
I am pleased you liked baby.
I also wish to thank you for the card I have only had a computer for a few months and I am still finding my way round, I was not sure my email got back to you, I love the idea of the cards which I will find out more in time. I was on another site which was a little too nasty for my tast "in critique" I am not against helpful advice which is what I tried to maintain, I think this site is a place to stay.
kind regards Richard.
