January Clouds By Ethel_GG

~*~
The sun is shining
bright and clear
Such a pretty
day is here

But, ohhh this cold
that's on my feet
Certainly doesn't
feel so sweet

And my hands
are kinda numb
Not much feeling
in my thumb

But, it seems
the rest of me
Is staying warm
how can this be

So to get more socks
here I go
This will help
I sure hope so

But what about
these hands of mine
Typing with socks
makes  NOT  a straight line
~*~
.
.
.
.
.

wonder if I could use these great big fuzzy slippers on my hands?????

Brrrrrrrrrr...(well, ya'll, it  IS  cold for Florida...)

LOL Bernie. If I saw 2" of snow, I'd
think I was freezing for sure. I lived next
to the Tennessee line a while back for a
little while years ago, and I was ready to come
back to Florida when we did. It snowed a lot
there.
Hugs to you

I'll bet you and Nancy Lee and I would have a ball
playing out in the snow....just as long as
I could keep my hands and feet warm. LOL

Brrrr, Dixie, that is cold. Yep, I'm glad
to be in Florida, too. Even when it's
cold at night, most days the sun shines
so pretty, doesn't it? I love living in  Florida.

Ethel

some winters here in MN it can get -70 that I remember from a horrid winter we had, a good 8 years ago but all the same.... I think actual temp was -30 and with wind chill -70

I remember trying to get my car doors open...LOL that didnt happen....they actually closed schools until the temp rose back to a "normal" number....

sweet little poem, enjoyed it much!

Thank you, Lauren. Now, if I was in weather as
cold as that, I probably wouldn't think that
I had any fingers or toes, they would be so numb.
How do you keep them warm in weather so cold?

That's lovely, dear Ethel! Can imagine you! To feel cold is really bad, but as long as the heart is warm, heated by love, well ... one can tolerate much more.

Today it feels like Spring here ...

Love and warm hugs. Margherita

Margherita, thanks!! It's gettng warmer here.
.
.
Lauren, I'd probably be wearing many layers!! LOL
.
.
Susan, I live in NW Florida, about an hour from Pensacola.
It's probably about that warm here now, because
it's supposed to rain. But, it was cold to me this morning.
But, I put the "again" in the title because I
wrote this last year about this time and it was really
cold that day. It was 20 something that day, if
I recall correctly. My niece lived in Jacksonville
for awhile when her husband was in the Navy.
They live in Illinois now. Thanks for
reading and replying.
.
.
McLean, thank you. I hope that you stay
warm, too.
.
.
I appreciate all of you.
Hugs to each one.

Maureen, I know....on my homepage where I have the
temperatures for some places, it says it's 2 degrees in
Massachusets where my daughter is...and -1 last night.
She hates the weather there and wants to move back to Florida.
I get cold so easy I would probably stay cold all the time there.

I do like those wood stoves. They are so
cozy when it's cold.
Thanks, sweet lady,

Well it is snowing here and cold. I wrap up like an Eskimo and I'm still cold. Kind of hard to type with socks and slippers on your mitts. Maybe you'll have to take the keyboard to bed so you can stay warm. Oh! And don't forget the flashlight so you can see. LOL

Bon-Bon, I sure do hope that you stay warm!
Try not to catch cold.
.
.
Meghan, I just don't know if I could do
that. LOL I would have to try, though, if
it got that cold here.
.
.
Nancy Lee, you just don't know how much I would
love to go to visit you and Chris. We would
have a ball, laughing and cutting up. I'll
bet we'd laugh so hard our tummies would
hurt again like mine did the night of the Chat. LOL
Which reminds me, when is the next one scheduled for?
.
.
Noah, do you ski on the mountains in Colorado?
I'll bet that's fun. All I know about is
water skiing.
.
.
I appreciate all of you.
Hugs to each of you,

lol last week I was snowed, or rather 'iced' in. Went to school monday and they cancelled it all the rest of the week, I didn't leave the house again until sunday! You could ice skate across the lawn though, 2 inches of ice over top of the snow.
Very cute write!
