Nothing looks the same
Steady as a stone essentials….
With a stout heart on measureless glory
Eyes bulge loud in noon silence
Reaching a gate
Wailing as the door slammed
Then a whisper of sobs fade

Photographs imagine tomorrow
Where water foams with forces sweet, footsteps soft
Skipping well into the turns of youth

Everyone stumbles away, and doves become onlookers
Inch by inch the apparitions become spirits with flailing arms
Open arms waiting thirty years or more if need be
Tender and chin up bring a fresh spring

We find coins and islands floating
Through a window of eternal instance
One by one we collect them, rising
Up a spiral stairway, one step at a time

Rising echoes containg the challenge
For each defening truth
Do we hear, listen and apply
To our inner ears?
Where the eye of the storm thunders
Quiet and near
Flooding out to us the last time
Molding levees formed upland
Giving great reason and rhyme
No island turns their back
But asks, you coming with me?

We found coins, if we store meanings
And they fall out of the pockets of the last fool
Forevermore…I to, walk with that fool
Love…
one by one
little by little
One step at a time
our God..remains forever clad to our islands
