the sun begins to slip
into the silken drape
where the wide sea
embraces the sky
tenderly

perhaps one can find quietude
resting on crimson-tinged waves

~

a family of birds
hastens its flight
homewardly bound
charting course
nestwards

thatís when silent eyes turn moist
measuring lengthening shadows

~

haven't written much lately... but haven't given up... not yet, anyway...

My friend.. this captures in a not quite way something profound.. not quite spelling out the details and not quite letting the reader see it all.. enticing them to think..and to reflect themselves on the flight of birds and their own silent eyes...

nicely done sir.. I enjoyed

This was good -- I liked the visuals effect it left with me!
