tepid

until one mystical morning
changed

by a shiver

wrapped in the purple scarf
of your soft laugh

Mark, this is one of my favorites of yours. Exquisite, beauty simple as a single flower bud.

Thanks, Kacy...  A flowerbud...  I never thought of it that way, but it definitely works.

Hey there, Kit!  Thank you for the kind words and the read.

"wrapped in the purple scarf
of your soft laugh"

now these two lines indeed struck me...
one is lured into the image of a laugh and comfort from the chill..and visualizes something soft or at least warm even if a bit scratchy.. very nice Mark.. very nice indeed.. enough, but not too much, with still room for the meanings and layers to be formed by the reader..

as usual.. I'm impressed..

Thank you, Ron.  After all this time, they're still fun to write, and I always look forward to the impressions they leave with the readers.  Thanks for the uplift.
