Dust to Dust

Most of what has lived with me
Has aged to dust or turned to bree
Has spent its youth and jewel of prime
Within the argosy of time

The aches and pains of my December
Grays the memories of remember
Veils in mist the clear of clear
And lengthens the distance of near

And smaller grows the buds desire
To open up this mind of mire
To reach into the cruel of sun
And toast within the youth of fun

But though I see the vanish bend
I cannot say I wish the end
For thought each shape shapes contour
We have not reached the full mature

So I will be a stitch a weave
In the total that I believe

A very reflective read this cold morn Sy.
How about some black currant tea to warm you up?

Seytmour you are too young to be thinking about dust and endings. Now me on the other hand...(Wink!) Well done my friend. I love this piece...but then I always love your work. You are the man!

Good Morning Sy!

Loved this piece, as I was just trying to convince someone, this last weekend, that I do not want a "Happy 40th" birthday party this year...*sigh*

Seymour, I guess we all must live with some sort of "aches and pains".....to remind us that we're still alive. LOL. My bones are complaining to-day what with all of this snow!! Great write as always, toast and honey with your tea? hugs, Chris
