Heart warm, like a hand in a glove.

Love pure, like a snow white dove.

Eyes see clearly, like a hovering hawk.

Body contented, like a Sunday walk.

Taste sweet, like apple pie and cream.

Thoughts serene, like the deepest dream.

Sound, like the sweetest bird singing.

Love to you, like my life, i will be bringing.

Reading in the background

You talked of love that hurt so deep
To one who thought it hers to keep
You broke a heart that needed love
And now she prayers to God above

You reeled the bait and caught your prize
To let it go with sad goodbyes
A man of sport who hunted prey
Who made the kill and walked away

The sad truth is that words won’t mend
The hurt that grows from ones pretend
Only time and ones goodbye
Will stop the tears of lovers cry

Goldent person:  I enjoyed your poem.  I like those which lead and are somewhat predictable.  Nice.

Oh, Rick...this is good.  Your response is so witty and insightful.  Love this:

A man of sport who hunted prey
Who made the kill and walked away

Most excellent.

Firstly...Rick! You are awesome! I could not have said it any better or more poeticly.

Now Phil...haven't you hurt her enough? You made the choice to leave her (for reasons of your own) now why don't you be a man and stand behind that?

This is a sad situation that maybe I should not be involved in, but she has come close to me, and I will not bear to see her keep any more pain from you.

Last time I checked this was a poetry section. Let's keep the responses toward the poem written, shall we? Unsolicited personal remarks can be handled by e-mail or some other means.

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes art

I liked the way you used the senses in this one.
