Fighting my Tomorrows

Calling into emptiness,
echo of my heart.
Cold space; left no warmth,
no healing for my wounds.

Broken wishes for me,
drained of color & life.
Open hands before me;
a vastly barren space.

Wandering hopelessly away,
deep recesses of consciousness.
Beckoning my weak body
offering release from reality.

My existence a hallow hole;
thoughts too difficult to swallow.
I still fight a fight I've lost,
Still fighting my tomorrows.

I have noticed a pattern in the poems written today. We are living to much for tomorrow. You are fighting tomorrow already. Why are we such a rushed generation.

and tomorrow remains ever constant and will always be there. I guess its up to us how we end up receiving it! Well written.

Those dark shadows something threaten us,
don't they? It's not always easy to somehow
see the spark of light over there behind
those clouds, but it is there, nevertheless,
just waiting for you to walk towards it.
