Leoftheow

Yoredays-glories' man
Him was the name
Leoftheow and his clan
Wellfared in fame.

Lo at home his queen
Weaved spells and doom
So his work was seen
Soon at her loom.

Cloth was there well wrought
To her eye's hold
Brave deed and foe fought
By dear and told.

Web was drawn of war
Each thread of fate
To recount in lore
The love and hate.

Wolfish heroes throng
In gears that din
On a battle wong
All wish to win.

Warplay under clouds
Darers at deeds
More are shaped for shrouds;
Than glory-meeds.

All threads make work one;
The men are made
yet more is one spun;
Brighter of blade.

Bear-moody warman
Swordplayer swift
Gave much speed to clan
Victories gift.

Radiance on face;
He sheared a swath
His men took to grace
All put on cloth.

In the noble hall
the glories sheen,
Last upon the wall
Of lover seen.
