Call 1-900-I’m-Alone

There are no words, which I may speak,
That’ll cleanse the dull or buff the bleak,
For insights never been my kin,
So seek thy answers from within.

I’m not thy angel from above,
I’m not a love that’s undreamed of,
My heart was birthed in fire and ice…
...An ill union that doth suffice.

That’s not to say I can not care,
But rather the will is not there,
I live for my own selfish needs,
And follow not where the heart leads.

Here’s a quarter and there’s the phone,
Call 1-900-I’m-Alone!

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

Well done, enjoyed the read. And cheer up,
all ends are but new beginings

Hi Seymour. I am happy. This poem was actually inspired by Passing Shadows poem titled, "Lonely and Free." After reading her piece this morning this poem just popped into my head. I wrote this darn thing in 15 minutes I bet. Sometimes that happens to me...I read something that is greatr, and it gives to me instant muse. I am glad you liked it.

Thank you McLean. I am glad you liked this poem too.

EV,my friend,
(Before reading Sy's response, I wrote this
You don't kid me for one minute.  You do not have self needs any more than the rest of us!  I've read too much of your work to know better!  You're sensitive, you're alive!

(Very well expressed, though my perception of the poet might not be the same as the poet's! Keep your quarter-you're not alone.)

(I just checked your post again and read Sy's comment.  This I might add

EDIT!!!!!  EDIT!!!!  900-EDIT,  900-EDIT:

WHOOPS/BLUNDER:  You took me in hook, line      and sinker with this one, you trickster, one sign of a good poet!
