Somewhere... out there...

I humbly ask a moment, please
to offer how I feel -
to let you know the love within
this heart still beats of real

And while I'm here, I pray, accept
sincere apologies
for all I've ever said or done
to make you ill at ease

I never meant to cause you pain
or fill your heart with strife
I only meant to offer 'friend' -
a hand outstretched for life

But all too soon, the shine of day
became the blackest night
with selfish insecurities
foreshadowing the light

"I'm sorry", won't erase the wrong -
is little to console
And yet, I hope you'll recognize
it's birthplace is my soul

I'm sorry...

*For those who know...you know who you are

"When the power of love overcomes the love
of power the world will know peace."

I don't "know"... but I'd like to say it sounds very sincere. I'll take this poem as a lesson I should learn in humility. Thank you for the enlightenment

Vicky...Very sincere and touching. It takes a big heart to say I'm sorry and just as big of a heart to accept it and forgive. This poem will remain in my heart for a long long time. The words are very touching...Paul

As much as you give, that you are a good listener, and an excellent conversationalist, it is hard to believe you need to apologize to anyone.  Communication is very much a two way street.  Your poem is good and strong, sound of thought and deep of character.

A heart-felt, and well-written apology..I don't know for whom this was written, but I know you are real in your apologies...

hope things work out, and your friend see's that you are worthy of forgiveness...

Wow I really love this clip. "it's the birthplace of my soul" your sincerity is evident for this was birthed from your soul!

Words straight from the heart, I think you also translated a feeling which many can relate on. Thank you for sharing, and somehow I think the one you wrote for, knows your beautiful heart and soul.

What an honest, wonderful appology.  The most important part is acknowledgement, I think...Kudos!
