If thy love was wrested and cast into the sky...
Might I be given wings to search in wand’ring fly?
If darkness covered all mine eyes could willing see?
Would light illume our heavens to shine upon thee?

For love does come as fruit upon the clinging vine
that lips might sip and taste the wines of vintage fine.
As flurries falling downward do cast upon the scene
a vision of pure splendor, peaceful and pristine.

Moments shall be given to bask on beauty fair
and touch softest flaxen, a damsels flowing hair.
To hear sigh filled singing into the wane of night
and toast glasses ringing, a woman and her knight.

And when the stone is chilled by winds beneath the door
two lovers resist sleep, in quest of evermore.

Magnus...What a charming tale of love. I could see the questing knight questing for a fair maiden's love. Beautifully written. Made me swoon!!!! ***Ivy Rose

Woohoo Barry! Well done my friend. This is a wonderful piece. My #1 must read poem of the day. It is romantic and sweet and darn I wish I had written it. Since I didn't though I am very glad I got a chance to read it. Thank-you so much for it.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!

I'm afraid I don't swoon very gracefully... but I'll definitely add a sigh. *S* This is lovely!
