Picture if you will, a street,
The American West perhaps or
An English country village
Vibrant with sound and colour
Voices, faces, moving spaces where
Scents of spices or dice dance fitfully.

This is what you see when you see me.

Draw back the view, focus, focus,
Whitewashed buildings and tavern signs
Creaking as the doors slam
Normal people, humdrum lives
Drinking husbands, gossiping wives
That’s what your eyes tell you
When you see me.

Though perhaps, if you knew where to look
Light could glint off a lens or
A man in overalls appear, somewhere near
Or maybe you could peer around a wall
And find just wooden beams all angular
And beyond, the baking desert.

Look down my street, can you see
The smiles on faces as lives go by?
Can you believe a film
Forget that it’s not real, immersed
In the illusion, can you believe
Me?

Very visual and an interesting parallel between film and persona.  I enjoyed the thoughts and descriptions in this "treatment".

I diasgree with the words before because none of them I feel took the time to do more than look in the shop window

The first image is looking at a window and saying, quaint, ethnic, how nice.

The second is banal destroying all but those who come to breed and die.

The third is looking past the facade.

These words deserved more.

OK.  From your lips to god's ear.
