I read Sunshine's wonderful dance poem and it kind of made me want to get out the old dancing shoes and add a new verse to a few previous entries on the old dance card.

I see thee spin in pirouette
Against the sky in silhouette
Beneath high heaven’s cabaret,
To muse’s song in rhythmic sway
Bathed in glow of moon’s soft light
As with the gods you dance the night.
Take my hand and be my love,
Whil’st we dance with stars above
To sensual song of Terpshicore,
As one we'll waltz in love’s explore.
Take a chance and come to me,
To dance as gods cross heaven’s sea,
Encaptured in night's sensual dance,
In Luna's glow we’ll find romance.
Lovers waltzing through the night,
Come dance with me, in heaven's light.

Strains of Gershwin soothe the night,
With songs of love, Eros' delight,
Music kisses on the soul,
As passion's note, our hearts control,
Silence broken by sensual dance,
Of two entwined in song's romance,
Trembling as the harpist's string,
As from the heavens, muses sing,
Dulcinea, come to me,
Together through eternity,
In mine arms shall ever sway,
Throughout the night, 'til break of day,
And with first light, the dance is done,
Until once more the setting sun,
O' how I hunger for the night,
To dance once more, in heaven's light.

Feel the music in your heart,
Touching softly, t'will impart,
Upon the soul, heartfelt romance,
Two joined as one, in sensual dance,
Passions coursing through the night,
Swaying softly, in Luna's light,
In song's reprise, love's symphony,
I sought my love, please come to me,
Sweet songs embrace, deep satin kiss,
I sought, I found, my mortal bliss,
But then the dawn, into the night,
The music fades in morn's first light,
On final note, so ends the dance,
As dancers wait for love's next chance,
To turn away the lance of pain,
And dance again, the sweet refrain.

From forth the heavens high above,
Apollo's lute sings songs of love,
Thy welkin charms in Luna's light,
Outshine the stars of heaven's night,
I reach my hand to touch thy face,
And pull you close in love's embrace,
In harmony to muses' lyres,
We dance as one to goddess choirs,
In mine arms, fair Terpsichore,
I dance on clouds, 'cross heaven's floor,
A moonlit sky, a summer's eve,
But then the dawn, and dost dance leave,
With light of day, the music halts,
And so doth end, our lover's waltz,
As music fades, so fades romance,
To wait again, night's passion dance.

Aglaia sings her love's reprise,
Amid the stars of midnight skies,
Rising passions of the night,
As two are on in Luna's light,
Embraced in dance to music's sway,
In rhapsody of love's ballet,
Notes from forth celestial harp,
Breech stone walls of heart's escarp,
With soft caress, sweet harmonies,
Kiss on the soul, night's symphonies,
From forth your lips, love's madrigal,
Upon my ears, Erato's call,
Beauty of your bloom replendent,
Encaptured in your love transcendent,
As mold as one in warm embrace,
In lover's waltz of heaven's grace.

"Sweet songs embrace, deep satin kiss,
I sought, I found, my mortal bliss,"

Really lovely -- they do go well together.

Tim,
I guess i've come to the dance floor, too, especially with Dulcinea, a song we used to play.  I understand perfectly!

Dulcinea, come to me,
Together through eternity,
In mine arms shall ever sway,

Excellent choice for the arms to sway!

Enjoyed the feel and images

In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes art
