Simmering the arctic air my eyes to melt away
A deeper shade of adoration looks upon a further day
Too quietly in the creeping symptoms of eternal flame
Regard my spirit in caress of every thought that bears your name

The dancing spectacle of winter showers feisty flirt
For hours dry white cotton in a lightly dusted skirt
Across the tundra of my heart in merrily made sounds
A temptress of the tropic stratospheres where cheer abounds

Against the wind, against the grain of sorrows given pass
A wicked wanton laughter into gear and hits the gas
And over hill and dale to flee the chilly drifted tracks
Upon the ski of power poured against the will it lacks

Shimmering upon the droop of sleepy afternoon
To curl upon the sable rug and swallow up the moon
And dream again in silent self-reliant rainy days
The happiness you’ve gifted me in all the times and ways

Seems that about all you need to go with
this treat of a poem is a roaring fire...
a hot cocoa and a large bag of popcorn,
freshly popped...sans kernels...(Old Maids
excluded, of course)...

Great lines --

Actually -- I should've copied the whole thing if I were going to say, "great lines," but got too lazy.  Wonderful, wonderful poem.  Library.

Kathleen~
You use such vivid imagery ...

'The dancing spectacle of winter showers feisty flirt
For hours dry white cotton in a lightly dusted skirt'

LOVE this !!!
