"I am going to write a poem."
I sat at keyboard, poised.
Fingers pointed, a ballet--
and suddenly I grew annoyed:

Tell me this is not the stuff:
"get out there girl,
and wag yer ass--
get yerself out of the way
and let the poem pass."

Poems? They are everywhere--
allow your eyes to see.
Take the rhythm of the tongue
and turn your thought to speech.

Tell me this is not the stuff--
"Girl? Yanno this sh-tuff
won't last--
get out the way of me again,
and let the poem pass."

"I was going to write a poem."
I sat bemused at the keyboard.
Fingers pointed back at me--
wagging in discord.

Rage, girl--rage--
"It's not the stuff--"
syllables remain the same.
Remove the pen
and think again--

the poetry's...enough?

poetry does not warm the absent friend
it does not cuddle so dont pretend
grab a hold of the one who sends
by your side
face to face
all the glory
I can send

your subject inspred me of all i want replacing words with a present heart

I so enjoy reposts....

it's when the author/poet
says
"you're flexible
and this fits the moment."

Dang it ....
liked it then...
love it even more the second time
conceived.

I had a grandfather who lived in a cabin with an outhouse deep in the woods and who used to yell out "Ya know that throne wasn't carved as a reading seat!"

Put your fingers back on the keyboard..and JUST WRITE...anything....nonsense...after a few lines of that, the words will flow.

Thanks for posting this for me!
