{Distant stars
               of gentle autumn,}

Far beneath   dark shadows
&fallen leaves     of happiness

Wings flutter   in unknown space, as
December    blended  time transparent,

lovers fell to

Remembering nights   in silhouettes
playing on satin walls; now
watching silence in eyes      of     black

Was it a move with-in?

Did you
miss the movement      of angels?
playing in       wind

Let rivers of pure water      pour from
your chambered heart,   before the storm
gathers its rage                      &leaves intent empty

In between the breathless
pause,  and    pain

      I am the snowflake
falling endlessly

~*~
In your light I learn how to love
In your beauty how to make poems
You dance inside my chest where
no one sees you and that sight becomes art

my friend, your words fall in endless beauty on the pages..showing the beauty and the soul within..

if I were clever..I would attempt to write a poetic reply to this.. but I fear I like the clever gene..

Can't decide whether I am envious
or just plain jealous
of your talents.

Hmmmm...wouldn't want to appear jealous,
so henceforth, I am envious!

~ This was my favorite part of yet another beautifully written poem.

And it snowed in Atlanta, yesterday.

Greeneyes, I just read Marge's snow poem and now yours -- I'm feeling like I am in a winter wonderland surrounded by snow fairies!  No really, this was inspiring!

I think this is a really beautiful poem! It leave a wintry taste in my mouth...
i am not sure however... if i am misinterpreting the meaning of your words.

I seem to get a sense of nostaligia and a mourning for a season past...autumn...but your title and focus at the end of the poem tells me i am probably wrong.

I read it and i think of autumn leaves as ghosts... forgotten long and buried under the 'blue lips' of winter.

I apologize if i misinterpreted such a beautiful poem. Either way, it was a great poem to end my evening on! Thanks for sharing!

Wow,  your words project your feelings beautifully, my friend.  And your form, is truley genuine. But it interrupts the flow a bit.

It would seem that snow is in...Fortunately
not for me...being further south.  But, if
I were there,  it would be appropriate to
have the pleasure of this poem then...as
well as now.

Well done Lauren.
