If These Were The Last Words

If I were never to see you again
I would never eat chocolate again
Because the taste would remind me of you

If I were never to smell you again
I would never smell a flower again
Because the fragrance would remind me of you

If I were never to hold you again
I would never feel the heat of the sun again
Because its warmth would remind me of you

If I were never to make love to you again
I would never know intimacy again
Because that closeness would remind me of you

If I were never to watch you sleep again
My heart would not smile again
Because love would remind me of you

If we were never to have met
I would return to this lifetime again and again
Because without you.....there are no words.
