The Point of Know Return

0 posted 2004-01-08 03:11 PM

naked moon dances high in the sky
pouring sweltering light through shattered clouds
dowsing trees with broadening pale glaze

midnight storm creeps……creeps……
stealthily across churning gray of GOD’s lust above

croons of frightened wolves
echo blessedly across the meadow
but drowned by slow rumble of whispering wind
savage horror lands of prose?
not since death of the sun

Lightning sneaks up on his forest
(classic thunder, remastered sound)
trees leap, loose their roots
lying helpless, left for dead on their sides
silhouetted chalk lines on Chicago sidewalk
peace be gone with the trees

One star booms overhead
shining with impossible genius
(Kerouac?)
of silicone cities and caramelized democracy
(society is war of inner struggle)
proud
poised
savior
bragging rights.

droning hisses of  locusts batter his ears
repression of concentration
stumbled upon the Nirvana yet?
not even close
Sacred One scribbles perceptions of life
on less-than-worthy paper
with a less-than-worthy ball-point pen
he looks to the Night to guide him
through psychedelic dreams

A ghost watches from the window

Fireflies buzz beneath the foot of his throne
Yet their fire has no burn

Spirit of Words, Wander of Earth, Open Road, Purple Skies,
GOD,
take me through the mind of the pen
where the Garden of Eden roams
where the fate of society lies
take me on the trip of trips
take me through Morrison’s mind

I will sleep above it all tonight
spontaneity: is she…..
Dream Machine?
poems fly by

GOD drinks his tea.

Wow! What amazing concepts you have painted here. I particulary like the juxtaposition of God calmly drinking his tea while the storm rages, it reminds me of Jesus asleep in the storm tossed boat.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
