Argot Pry

I’ve named my ship the Argot Pry
My compass-heading sigh by why
My sails are coated thick with brine
Eight decades past without a sign

The sky today is cold and blue
The sea is green shows nothing new
The air is heavy with despair
And acid eats my flame of care

The riggings speak to me of doom
They sing the daily song of gloom
And tie-downs beat a drumming dance
That puts my mind into a trance

The stars will shine a welcome sight
They’ll light the stage of dreamers plight
And lift me up into the wile
Illusions in a harbor Isle

It is a source of bail to me
This endless sail this endless sea.

Eight decades of wisdom
these have set my sails
a wondrous life worth living
now's not the time to bail...

Good morning, Sy!

Sy.. the times the rigging begins to speak to you is the time you need a shore leave..
maybe Lng Jhn can recommend a few places where the sight are bit more pleasing..
of course you may run into Toe..and who knows what that would spark.lol

Seymour my friend
Sounds as if you got on Long John’s Boat

An excellent write as always.

I rode the sails of Wonder Lust
With no signs of tarnish
And not a spot of rust,
Decks all swabbed and polished.

This sounds more like your type of boat
