in the shadows

A dragon flew tonight while I was driving home;
it circled underneath a moon
so full within my sight
and wove a joyful dance upon the wind.
It is the Wolf Moon in the sky looking down upon us all
and yet I do not feel like howling
in the ancient prayerful way;
though I felt you call my name at dawn.
Oh the night is bitter cold
and almost bright as day.
You are ten thousand miles away,
so far that it is Summer where you will sleep this night;
I think I'll send my dragon down
to tuck your dreams in tight.

I liked this alot...I think the first half of the poem is the best...the ending could be better imo, then it would be a 10.
