Retracing [Konrad Walks]

It was good, watching that woman
look hard, placing her step upon mine,
there, in the sand,
cocking her head just so,
she, who felt that I [or my insignificance]
meant something to her.

Yet, she was not my chocolate brown Dana;
even so, she was
not available at all to me, a figment
to all concerned.

Only Iambe trusted me, while
despising me for my weaknesses,
only Jake hated me, for neither of us
had yet roped in all the truths,
but Dillon?  She loved me
for my sensitive side, as sisters do, and perhaps,
just perhaps for the poetry, as well.

Hard to know, anymore.

The waves have washed all animosity away.

At least, on this side of my life.  But I left Dana
to give audience to my losses, yet again,
to lay the stone upon the bone
of one who could call to task
all left undone – Iambe.

I wish I had her tongue on my thoughts
just now – she would say to me,
“get on with it, or get away from it”

so I will take away the perhaps to my questions,
and get on with either finding Dana
or the real reason I came to find the blues
among the browns and greens

and find out who I am.

Smiling at you...and nodding.
Hugs YOU!

    In the midst of winter..
I found there lives within me,
    an invincible summer.

You give me so much to ponder,
although the names are changed
when I read you, I hear you!

I need to go take a walk before the sun goes down,
and I'm taking your poem with me.

Loved the sentiment, and how it pertains
to real life.
To me, that is the greatest joy of poetry.

Hugs Karilea~ and thank you for this~

Now I get woozy
from my musey
When she comes to call
I like your musey
He's a doozy
Spreading light to all

Through rubble and trouble and dark of night
The yawn of a dawn will hasten the light
