As decadent as milk…uneven in a strapless cut that swirls the floor
Around your knees, we walk the restless chatter of the room
Mingling…meeting…brushing close in tight quarters
Despite the smile upon my face, a warm demeanor
There is only you completely filling my mind
Dribbling on the edge of wine glass and kidskin
Gloves just sheer enough to keep as new
The hand withheld for you
A fantasized collection
Kept in hidden introspection
Sampling the air a moments dare
Chilling me to cover up
Thoughts too good
Your eyes recant
The need I shan’t
And gallantly
To dance with me
And hold me close
Alone in the crowd

Delicious!  Makes me think of everything
in a decidedly decadant mine-frame, while
above all else, it was the least of all sins...

What a good write, Kathleen!

This I love.....

There is only you completely filling my mind
Dribbling on the edge of wine glass and kidskin
Gloves just sheer enough to keep as new

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Could here the music playing and glasses clinking,
while stepping into your mind.
You are simply elegant, and you took me there Kathleen~
TD...This had such an old fashioned sound to it...the dance a ball, rather then a dance..filled with atmesphere.  Loved it!
