Ohhhhh, Chris - Please forgive me for responding to your outstanding poem.  A friend of mine asked me to respond for him because you inspired a "sweet" response.

Excuse me, but you are mistaken,
I only borrowed your lonely heart.
I placed it in with your groceries
After rummaging thru your cart.

Forgive me, but I think you're wrong,
You were a drag on our first date.
Here!  Your heart's among the pork rinds,
And the chocolate chips I partially ate.

Pardon me, but you don't seem forward,
I only wanted you to scratch my back.
You decided to not go all the way,
When all I wanted to do was snack.

It's time to go thru checkout, darling.
Sure hope it doesn't take all day.
I ate up all of your junk food,
While you shopped your blues away.

We hardly knew one another,
Although I know I was really bad.
So let me introduce myself,
I'm known by all as Old Toerag.

heh - Ol' Toerag is gonna notice a chill in the air now.  This was brilliant.  Now all I gotta do is do the same thing to Balladeer.
