Finally, on the eastern horizon
Black becomes dark blue

There is no ball of fire yet
but the clouds are a dim shade of pink

I wait, watching for shadows
There are none

My world remains night
Yet hope is rising

As I watch, the ribbon of blue brightens
And faintly shadows begin to form

Still, there is no ball of fire
And the western sky remains dark

But the day is giving birth to light
And I
       can dimly see

I found there lives within me,
    an invincible summer.

Thanks...I was inspired by reading Wintertaos thing this morning...what it must be like to go through hard times and to begin to find hope after a difficult period.  Even a lifetime of not being sure of certain things and finding something to be sure about.
