Without the Caramel

Peeled my memories one, by one
wondering as, and the whys
being sliced as I lay them
patterned before me.

The empty being filled
with sweetened brown and
floured oats, stirred and poured.
All of you mixing into all of it.

Scented heat, oven cured
couldn't keep me away
opening and closing and
bit tasting until the bell went off
and I told myself, it was time.

Mitted the hot, wire cooled
until hunger could wait no more.
A bite of temptation, sensory release
yet remembering another time
when the caramel...kissed our lips.

I'm about speechless, I really really like this one.  to be honest I like most of the stuff you write that I've read.  And I love caramel.

I only know myself...and even that I don't know well.

Sounds delicious Dixie

Susan,  it's a one crust apple pie  filled with apple crisp...not sure if you can find it in a freezer, but it's easy to make and tastes wonderful even the second day...only thing I am missing is vanilla ice cream to top it.

You are invited for dinner anytime...

Marge, tasty in sweetness and thoughts
thanks dear one,
hugs
