Konrad’s Musings

Is this how it is
when two ships pass
each leaving a ripple
to meld in a wake?

She danced upon the stars
Walked the waters fine
Ships and diamonds all in haze
In the mists of time

Konrad’s thoughts were of the woman
he had seen in search of him,
the one who tried to see through the mists
to where his steps had pressured sand

and she had listened,
he could see that, in the way
of her touch to stone,
her eye seeking eyes,
her gaze averted as if she heard his sounds

and it made him wonder
what she truly saw?

All he knew, now, was that she left this
in his mind…

She danced upon the stars
Walked the waters fine
Ships and diamonds all in haze
In the mists of time

Love the feel of this poem KJ,  nice one.
Such a treat upon a ship...looking into
the haze...seeing all that we see.

You took my breath away along with a few tears...for in beauty, sorrow strays.

Beauty and sorrow often go hand in hand... Well done.

"She danced upon the stars" is fine
but "to where his steps had pressured sand" is my favorite.  Must be a man thing.
This is beautiful.  KJ
