Steel Blue...Whispers

Like a flower
unfolding,
swollen thoughts
wet with rain
worked between
the softened kisses
of a touch once felt,
inspiring the old in me
to become new again.

Smiles rising to the occasion,
tears adding to the memories.
But the laughing felt good
and the whispers enticed,
as the hidden thoughts
were exposed
to the more of you.

I left you my soft sighs
and from these once velvet eyes,
words that held a meaning
only known to the two of us.

Beautifully penned, Maureen.
Melancholic and very touching.

Oh yes, Maureen, we both have those kind
of words, too. If others heard me and him
talking at times,  they wouldn't know what we're talking about....but we do!

How beautiful. The title pulled me in from the start and the whole thing kept me interested. A wonderful write.

Margherita, just a touch of remembrance...

Paul, thank you for enjoying

Nancy, inspiration is everywhere

Ethel, these are more of the "private kind"
Thanks
M

Thank you Allison, sometimes just thinking about the past can bring up the happier thoughts. I am glad you  stopped by.

Chris, I try  to be romantic, doesn't always work that way.

hugs all
