How did it come to this?
What began with sweet delight,
such innocence and bliss
is now consumed by endless night.

What were the paths we took?
that led to this dark place
How was our love forsook -
replaced by horror on your face?

When did the sun not shine?
Upon our love so rich and fair
What happened that decline
became our deep despair?

Whose, was the fault that we
grew to what we are today?
Why could we never see
when love had gone away?

How did it come to this
and could we start anew?
Climb up from the abyss
to find our love is true.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

We don't always know how things happen....hopefully we do know how to fix them. Nicely done.

Sometimes love can be fixed and sometimes you just have to move on. Loved the poem.

It is sad that love can't always be a gleeful moment, but I feel that sometimes the measurement of our past gives us the present moment to treasure. A wonderful write. Thank you.

How, indeed. *S* This is especially poignant to read after looking those questions in the face a few days ago... and having no answers... but that what was meant to be was finally being. *S* Excellent! *S*

Nice write on the subject of the endurance of love...still mixed up with love making by many...

I remember how it came to this for me...only one was trying and it didn't work out...unfortunately that one was me...and later when I wanted to try she told me it was too late....James

Good write, Keth.  A lot of us have asked these questions, though not as well.

Beloved one, now this is simply magnificent writing, the flow is perfect, without doubt your ability to reach into the reader and pull emotion from them is breathtakingly good. I swear I could feel the agony of a love that has died or at least has faded so far from the light that it will take a major resurrection.

Beautiful writing darling heart absolutely perfect, I love it utterly

Love and warm stuff

***sigh***
This seems to linger in the back of all things good and bad.  You penned it to perfection.
