Sometimes we all need to be left alone
Whether it be for a few hours
Or it be a few days

Sometimes we just need to get away
And find a place to stay
To have peace and quiet away from
The family

Sometimes to get the point across
You have to post a sign
Saying "Do Not Disturb" and lock the door

Time alone
Sometimes is a very precious thing
That everybody needs

Cold hands means a warm heart

Yea, we all need that. That's why I often take off during the day.

Well girlfriend, my time alone has been for ohhh, bout 8 years now...and you know something, this was the very first time in my life when I didn't have to take care of someone...and I'm liking it. Not that I didn't enjoy being a mother, wife...I did, immensly, but life is different now, seasoned, and so much time to do what I like to do, if merely nothing...Is that selfish?
I would have had more children if I could have...and sometimes I miss a companion...but the peace and quiet is just so astounding at times....and I've never written as much in my entire life?

I've been taking a lot of alone time lately, because I really needed it. Break's over a week from tomorrow so I'll have to be ready to face the world then. Loved your "quiet" poem.

so very very true,,,we need a little solitude from time to time,,even from ourselves,,,,but, the best part of being alone,,,is that you actually enjoy the time spent with those you wanted to get away from!

(sigh) I think it is essential for one to be intropersonal and get to understand oneself to achieve success in life, as knowing onself helps open many doors and those around you get to love you as a person better, knowing you is loving you!
