I want to dance, to shake, to move
to burn off this fire inside me
and then light it again.
I want to shake and dip through my thighs and hips,
to feel music beating inside my chest,
to throw my head back, fight the numb and pain,
scream into the sound, and let it scream back into me.
I want to sweat, to pulse, to fall, to arch,
get lost, consumed, in the near dark.
