yea, these times be maddening
the days are long as nights are bleak
search the shroud of dreamtime keep
omens on the sweaty sheets
bloody show a gladdening
cheers! to passing of the days...

"Let the end be quick" I say
mercy, mercy beg reprieve
wrestling myself to sleep
I woke to sound of grinding teeth
what is this, which I have birthed?
etching lines to mark the days
of grays on paisley print malaise
wailing, "all is lost".

You've been walking
through my nightmares
again?

You're not going to get
any rest
that way!

Serenity,
Beautifully expressive!  I hope you get a better night's sleep tonight!  (Thanks for your response to my insomniac poem, too.  It was a hoot to read.)  Take care...

Such a powerful write!
You gave birth to these words ... they are worth some sacrifices to listen to the night's muse ...

smiles and blushes--Kari? You guessed it--more nightmares.

That's what I get for leaving dirty dishes in the sink. Yup. Washed PILES of dishes in my dreams. I don't know why that was so distressing to me. (shaking my head)

And? I've got dishes in the sink right now and it doesn't seem to be bothering me a bit.

sigh. Go figger.

Thanks for reading, hugs to Margherita and sassy Sadie too.

Hmmm.

I think I'll go buy some of that aromatherapy dishwashing liquid.
