It's raining, it's pouring,
or so the saying goes,
Who even knows who said that,
but it was said,
and whoever it was had the right idea in their head,
on days like this it's best to spend
the whole damn day in bed.
But not alone, oh no my dear,
with company in deed,
you don't have to do that much,
I'd surely take the lead.
My urges fight to be freed,
it's past a want, I'd say it's a need.
Yes, that's what I'd say...feed this fire.
It's raining, the windows are fogging,
folks are egg nogging, women are nagging,
some are shagging, idiots are jogging.
But I'd rather be hogging your covers,
Cause who knows who said it,
but I'm glad it was said,
Rainy days are best spent,
in the confines of a bed.

I most definitely agree! Truthfully written piece, I enjoyed its rawness.

Great Terrina,
I like your wit and honesty!   I'm glad you pointed this one out to me!  I appreciate your doing that and pointing out this clever piece.   (I used to spend hours on the internet, but have to narrow that time down, and in doing so, I miss lots of good stuff.  (Remind me occasionally)

how true and how beautiful! :-)

turning mirrors upside down won't make dust fall off the ground, hiding wounds won't ease the pain, sleep won't make you whole again...

Yes, it's good to spend rainy days in bed but unfortunately these days my only hope of romance is through a good book. Interesting piece.

Terrina,
First, I'd like to thank you for your response to my last poem.  I looked quickly for another of yours, but wasn't able to find one I hadn't responded to.  Have you written anymore?   I'm looking forward to reading yours.   BTW, check back at "to Change the SHAPE of RAIN";  I left a note for you there.
This one was fun to re-read!  hehehehe
