A Healthy Serving

Somehow I think that I should be much stronger
Weave the willow with the oak in patience longer
Wrap the vine around and through in slip knot fashion
Quiet down the inner drives of rampant passion

Yet in the truth there is not benefit or pittance
Step up to this karmic scheme or plead indifference
Whether is or not to come may feed the forces
Yet for now I simply watch these destined courses

Not yet succumbed or given up the inner stillness
The pace is set by something larger in its brilliance
Somehow I think the bottom of a dream is found-less
Though I should know the plead of dreams is boundless

It makes me smile to think the road has turned in circles
Where dawn and dusk just look the same in pinks and purples
But then again it is the wind that carries something
And sweeps away remains of day and leaves with nothing

Somehow I think that just to drink the wine of living
Should be enough to fill the cups in all forgiving
Somehow I think that I should hold again to small things
And wait the tide, a wave to ride, and see what that brings

K.  the entire poem is a piece of art...but
these last lines speak volumes...

Somehow I think that I should hold again to small things
And wait the tide, a wave to ride, and see what that brings

This,  is what we all should do in life,
in love...in our destinies.

I totally agree with the above post.
I love this poem. I love it, I love it.
The last lines are just a wonderful ending, to what I had hoped wouldn't end!

Your poetry is so smooth it seems to just flow along.
It sounds like soft soothing music, without music.
