* * *

I watch you glide above the ocean
And skim the water effortlessly
You live between the sky
And the deep blue of the sea

When the dark clouds block the sun
You seek shelter from the storm
With feathers ruffled around you
In an effort to keep warm

As the sun starts sinking lower
At the edge of the shining sea
You fly towards the horizon
So graceful and carefree

At night you huddle on the sand
As the waves crash upon the shore
And in the first light of morning
You set on out to explore

I look at you in wonder
And feel my spirit start to rise
As you let the thermals take you
Far beyond the sapphire sky

* * *

"We are all angels with only one wing......
we can fly only be embracing each other"

I am in motion
I am blue
Love is an ocean
I'm anchored in you

Nice one, Suetang

might I add . . .

then stretch their wings to air and gust
as if to show us what we've traded off
we stand and watch their display of trust
in what we dream could take us aloft

Sue:  Very beautiful piece.  You are so fortunate to live close to the sea and all the wonderful creatures along the shore.
Right now, I'm looking at 16 inches of snow!
Wish I were with you!

Betty Lou
Thank you so much for your comment and I cannot imagine being surrounded by snow, just as you must find it hard to imagine 30 degrees celcius which is what we have here in Melbourne today.  Lovely to hear from you my friend, as always.

Your words really humbled me, thank you so much.
