Transformations

Moving from room to room
Stirring…and un-negotiated luring
Restless    Breathless

The smolder holds no warmth
Flames that were refused me
Fire burns and soon consumes me

Pacing to the window, to the door
Mistaken in the crumbs I waited for
Moonlight on crisp white

Howling in my soul
Drawing in the solstice knoll
Taking me…an unrelenting plea

Until I break
To silver soft and shadow
Paws that barely break upon the snow

Turning me to hunt the midnight glow
And through the glass my spirits pass
Hungry and free

A shadow called the night
A wandered passage; mystery

This could have been written by my wife putting up with me again.

Talent. Words, Feeling - Do it.

Explore and teach the world that there is more to life than a creaking floor, paced.

I waited to see another's comment before being the first to post here because I wasn't real sure in what I gleaned from it...
I liked it much, but what I saw (overall) was a kitty cat wanting to go outside - wonder if maybe that was sparked by Muska rubbing against my leg when I read it??

Anyway...don't know why I waited...told you the truth anyway...duh!

Enjoyed this as I always do when reading your stuff, my friend.

The pacing feline,  whether cat or woman...
waiting.  Such an intense moment that could
be...or is.  Well expressed K.  You are
rollin' in the new year.

this just feels like michael my cat
of his days in the sun, as a hunter, watchig the window now, living life, fat and pampered while the world has gone by him now
and i felt the desire here in this piece loud and clear

Wow, TD...

This is one of the most intense pieces I've ever read...thank you!  You can just sink into the emotions you express.

I love this poem. Poetry with big words, sometimes isolates me. Not because I don't understand them, but because, in todays world, we are sometimes talking at an 8th grade level, and to come here and see so much intelligence...we'll it's a shocker.
