Reaching You I reach for you, the place you go deep within, my fingertips restrained by flesh, fearing flame A craven, cursed to extinguishing the coal I dream I am you or could stand beside you For in dreams, grasp is possible without fear of sear, scorch of ego, all that I think I know. Until wake closes my mind In reality I shall never touch you as you touch me with mere want, desire, words without fire I will never ignite the heart of you I stand defeated, head in hands, shivering in frozen unheard Knowing I have failed once more. |

You did not fail my friend, you cannot fail OR succeed for that matter if somebody does not see inside your heart, and it is obvious that the heart I see in this writing is not filled with failure. Brian Strive for higher levels, if they seem out of reach... Grow, and they will get closer. |
