A Portrait of Friendship

For you I will reflect my strength
that graced our first meeting
that allowed the timeless to show its face
and prove an endurance of forever.

Words can only hold so much.
It's the heart that has the depth of you
that holds the rise of promise
and the newness of each day.

There is a beat to the silence
that surrounds my thoughts,
a time when you rescued me,
reality hued in hurt, with shades of you
to paint the missing.

A portrait of friendship, charmed
with a season that never ends,
a glimpse of tomorrows
that sail the sunsets to vanish into the blue
that will seize and surrender
to what shall be.

My Dear...
This was written to the heart of every friend...
not specifically perhaps, but I give it back to you.
Exceptionally well done.
Happy New Year!

friends are nice but more than often there's self-interest, a Happy Healthy New Year to you!
