he's sitting in the dark
a glowing cigarette in his tounge
he's staring into the strange world
and hopes it won't take too long

and though the walls around him are broken
and though the people around him are free
the wall inside of him is growing
soon he won't be able to see

she's walking through the streets
holding tight to her bottle of coke
she doesn't know where she's going
and wishes her whole life to be a joke

and though the buildings around her are crumbling
and though the people around her are new
she's caught inside her own narrow building
soon she won't be able to get through

I'm a little lost with this, but don't worry. I'm a little lost in life, so it all pans out.
I'm not sure what you are trying to say with this, but I can see that you are a talent.
Keep writing.

i'm just trying to describe this feeling of being lost and desperate! that's all...

turning mirrors upside down won't make dust fall off the ground, hiding wounds won't ease the pain, sleep won't make you whole again...

I've felt that way too. I hate feeling that way.
