The old year passing like a setting sun,
Beyond western hills,
Contented that it has done day’s work,
Giving way for the new sunrise,
Bringing new light one's more.

The heralding of new year,
Like the sun rising in,
The eastern sky,
First a tiny ball of red,
Then slowly glowing filling,
The atmosphere with its red-golden light,
Bringing joy in everyone's heart.

The new year's sun,
Now marching ahead across,
Valleys, deserts, rocks and,
Even beyond,treading gently,
Moving ahead slowly,
One step at a time, don't know,
What it may bring,
But will be greeted,
With enthusiasm and hope.

I was going to write
something close to this,
but you have, and you did it so well...
I'll just smile on you instead.

Thank you!
