Warm Words

I look across this plane
a featureless vast
quiet and cold . . .

In the long distant
view a red flow
carries warm words

I pour flat champagne
as if it still mattered
in this dry oasis
and await the sirocco
of your verse

Awaken me from my chill

so sad and so beautiful!

turning mirrors upside down won't make dust fall off the ground, hiding wounds won't ease the pain, sleep won't make you whole again...
