I dreamed of you in the taxi
I paid my dollars to be there
A barren shack
In a barren place
Chickens outside the room
Making a fool of myself
Not knowing the rules
Life isn't like that
Love for twelve hours
I was too eager to care
And the state of my chest
That morning

Only a fool dreams of a woman he has never seen with money

In a cab he does not know and he is 18

It is like turning up in a cellar in Wardour Street Soho and then Little Richard turned up and you could have skated across the floor on the sweat.

My words were Singapore just after 60's and the "Emergency" and the "Riots".
