Time To Mend
~ By Sue ~

It is not easy
To erase the memories
They still come and go
My heart starts to ache once more
For the love we once shared

Each time I see you
My heart starts aching again
For what we once had
This is why I stay away
To give my heart time to mend

How long does it take
For a broken heart to mend
My heart still cries tears
Remembering how it was
When our love had first begun

Hi Sue...It does get easier sweetie.
Time does heal everything.
All the best in the new year to you.

Mending is like grieving....take all the time you want. You are growing in the process. Hugs to you Sue! Chris

Your pain deserves more than a poem written here.  Lovely writing.

Sometimes, the best we can hope for,
is a quiet fading...

and I note that LJA had some wonderful
words of advice.

Sue, this really touched my heart, because
I could feel the pain that you are feeling.
I honestly wish that I could say something to
make you feel better, but I don't know what it would be.
Heart hugs to you, my friend
Ethel

Sue I truly hope your heart heals in this coming year, and with love of friends it will.  I loved Mike's (LongJhn)poem to you, and although I did not write it, I feel his healing thoughts and wish them as well.
