a breeze just blew across my knees
proof
that I've some feeling left
let me sip again m'friend
perhaps it just ain't hit me yet--
the comfort of the spine reposed
apple peeling letter C
fetal repositioning
simple cell remembering
comfort in alone...

"It's true, it's true,
that I am doomed--
gypsies placed a curse on me--"
augury of lemon seed
bloating in this amber greed
and ashes don't taste bad afloat.

Remember that the mirror spoke
kindly under red tint shade
and eyes were so mysterious
bored behind a smudge of smoke
wincing at the same old joke
bouncing ice with poke of straw
downlid curtsey
lashed demure
Guess-which-hand?
of fists in clench,
see if you can find the prize.

That one? Are you very sure?

I open, show the lines of me.

Sorry.

Nope.

You lose again.

The empty palm boasts innocence.

I never had a thing to hide,
but oh, I know,
you wanted it...

C'mon love.

Buy me a drink?

and this time, if you like,

I'll lie...

on that thread in pip lounge...you asked about writing from a personal view....

If you ever stop? ....
you'll have a mad crazy moth all over you.

and sheesh....what you do with metaphors makes me moth giddy.

I can remember Forever December,
The center of dying ... the heart of the pain.
The stars surround me ... the cold astounds me.

This cries out for Lautrec and Poe, absinthe and laudanum.

dance the demons spinning time
seeking their release in rhyme
while death tallies up our crimes
and waits for us so patiently...

"a mad crazy moth all over me"

That sounds kinkily appealing at the moment.

Happy New Year to all.

and Duncan? Oh yeah baby, I knew you'd understand this one.

Thanks for reading, good poet people.

I love you all.

This part wouldn't leave me alone...
I had to come back and read it again

I think I need to 'remember'...
