Sometimes it does doesn't it?

Nicely written

"I can't believe
I've lost the very best of me"

Yes, iceman, it does ache when
it has outlived its time.

So deeply melancholic!
Beautifully rendered.

For such a few simple words, this poem's meaning is complex.  That's not easy to do.  Enjoyed!

And that anodyne does assuage part of the pain, but not nearly enough. Watching the loss, the fading, feeling it in the core of you....nothing stops that pain. Much expressed and much said with so few words.

Nature desires
What else can impel
The self destruction

That oblivion
Allowing life
To continue
Destruction

To nature's rebirth
