those seconds pass by like slow-no
after i get stumped by your question--

i read it slooooowly yet again,
press but-i-know-my-sums-are-right! figures into my calculator,
twirl with my pencil,
steal a peek at the clock and groan an agonised darn! she has removed it already, when will you learn?!,
radiate you deep, thoughtful vibes while on the verge of panicking

then Eureka!, God willing
I solve your problem with suavity,
avoid your somewhat-bewildered gaze and
register haste-relief at how i wasn't going to lose face

since your next question jerks me back to square one

Kaile -- I liked!  There's a real energy to your writing.  And, I loved the punch line!
